George Morrison, Sr. will be inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame
The Denver Park Trust and Colorado Music Hall of Fame are proud to announce that George Morrison Sr., Denver’s ‘Godfather of Jazz’, will be inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame on October 17th.

Denver Park Trust Welcomes Mikayla Perry
October 4th, 2023: The Denver Park Trust (DPT) has named Mikayla Perry (she, her, hers) as its first Director of Development and Engagement. In her role, Perry, a top talent with a track record of success, will lead fundraising, event planning, and community outreach for DPT.

Parks, Rivers, Trails & Trees (PRTT) 2023 Recap
Held on May 13, 2023, the Denver Park Trust’s second annual Parks, Rivers, Trails, & Trees was a success! Over 300 volunteers came out to clean up 13 parks throughout Denver, showcasing the importance of our parks and shared public outdoor spaces.

March 15, 2023: As countless studies have shown, parks and open space are a vital source of both physical and mental wellbeing for humans. Parks provide innumerable benefits for people, our communities, and the environment.

Birthday Celebration at Martinez Park
July 27, 2022: The Villa Park Neighborhood Association and nearly 150 residents celebrated Private Joseph P. Martinez’s birthday. Private Martinez was the first Latino and Coloradan to receive the Medal of Honor in World War II, and his birthday was celebrated by the community in his namesake park. If he were alive today, Private Martinez would be 102 years old.

Park Spotlight: Paco Sanchez Park
March 17, 2022: All about Paco Sanchez Park, a 30 acre park along Lakewood Gulch just east of Knox Ct. that boasts a very cool adventure playground designed to challenge and engage park lovers of all ages and abilities with climbing nets, a spiral slide, a zip line swing, and much more.
